Rough-hewn wood beams and a vaulted wood ceiling lend high romance to this cozy 1927 pine-log cabin, tucked beneath tall trees, next to the Tahoe Biltmore. On the eclectic menu, chef-owner Charles Soule's specialties include curried cashew chicken, lamb ravioli, fresh sea scallops poached in champagne with kiwi and mango cream sauce, and a vegan sauté with ginger, jalapeños, and tofu, but you'll find the chef's current passion in the always-great roster of nightly specials. Some find it a little pricey, but if you're looking for someplace with a solid menu where you can hold hands by candlelight, this is it. In winter request a table near the crackling fireplace. Reservations are recommended.
