Going strong since 1978, Wolfdale's consistent, inspired cooking makes it one of the top restaurants on the lake. Seafood is the specialty on the changing menu; the imaginative entrées merge Asian and European cooking (drawing on the chef-owner's training in Japan) and trend toward light and healthful, rather than heavy and overdone. And everything from teriyaki glaze to smoked fish is made in-house. Request a window table, and book early enough to see the lake view from the elegantly sparse dining room.

I have been dining at Wolfdale's throughout its 30 year history and have always been delighted with the consistency of it's excellent cuisine. The atmosphere is "Tahoe Elegant", which means you can wear a suit, or outdoorsy sportswear and still be comfortable in the well appointed dining room or bar.
The food is fresh, delicious, and creative with changing menus and specials. You dine on hand made tableware, with attentive, but not over-bearing wait staff. Prices are in-line with other quality area restaurants, and the portions are more than adequate. This is not a "tiny-service nouvelle" restaurant!
Like it's many published reviews and it's name implies, Wolfdale's is "Cuisine Unique"!
