The kitchen here turns out big plates of linguine with clam sauce, veal marsala, and chicken piccata. There's nothing fancy or esoteric about the menu, just straightforward Italian-American food. Try the exceptionally good bread pudding for dessert.

This restaurant was just OK. For the price it was definitely not worth it. The restaurant is in an old home near Heavenly Ski Resort. We had the Calamari appetizer which was just OK, not outstanding but not horrible. The calamari had onion frittes mixed in with the calamari. The entree was a pasta with a cream sauce and grilled chicken, but the chicken did not seem grilled but instead more poached. Desert tasted as if it came out of a freezer box. Not worth the over $100 bill for 2 people.

Great food; great service. We had the appetizer special: broiled lobster ravioli in a pesto cream sauce with garlic bread; wow - truly outstanding. We had a dinner salad (which we split thanks to our waiter's (Rory) suggestion). The salad was fresh and crisp. I had the chicken saltimbocca and hubby had lasagna. Both of us thought the quality and portions were wonderful. The service was top notch (again, thanks, Rory!). Our cannoli for dessert were fresh with crisp shells and sweet mascarpone filling. Scusa sits in what appears to be a converted house so the seating areas are a bit choppy and a bit cramped against the walkways. The decor was warm with a contemporary flair.
$93: Wine, one salad, one appetizer, two entrees, one desert, coffee
We will definitely go back the next time we go to Tahoe.

So-so food and sub-par service. The night we dined we waited and waited for a server just to take our order. Nothing special.
