Harrah's major selling point is that every room has two full bathrooms, each with a television and telephone, a boon if you're traveling with family. Top-name entertainment is presented in the South Shore Room. Among the restaurants, the romantic 16th-floor Summit ($$$$) is a standout, but bring a credit card; there's also a buffet on the 18th floor. A tunnel runs under U.S. 50 to Harveys, which Harrah's now owns. Upper-floor rooms have views of the lake or mountains, but if you really want the view, stay at Harveys instead. Cheaper rates are available midweek. Pros: Central location, great midweek values. Cons: Can get noisy.
