The location is excellent—5½ acres bordering a forest, right behind the Heavenly Village, a half block from the casinos, and adjacent to a supermarket, cinema, and shops. Rooms are a bit dated and could use upgrading, but they're among the largest at the lake, and there are six classes of suites. Ski rentals are available, and the Heavenly Gondola flies right over the roof. Pros: As close to the city center as pricier hotels, good bet for families. Cons: Some rooms are in need of an update.
