Marriott's Grand Residence and Timber Lodge Review

You can't beat the location of these two gigantic, modern condominium complexes right at the base of Heavenly Gondola, smack in the center of town. Though both are extremely comfortable, Timber Lodge feels more like a family vacation resort; Grand Residence is geared to upper-end travelers. Units vary in size from studios to three bedrooms, and some have amenities such as stereos, fireplaces, daily maid service, and full kitchens. Ask about vacation packages.

    Excellent Location, Beautiful Resort!

    We stayed 3 nights this past week at the Timber Lodge in South Lake Tahoe. We were booked under the Timeshare program for $225 for 3 nights in a standard room. After the presentation, we also received $100 to spend anywhere we wanted. Our room was very nicely appointed with a view of the Heavenly gondola. The bed was comfy and there was a small kitchen area.
    Our timeshare presentation went well, we ended up staying an extra 30 minutes because we found the presentation interesting. It was not high pressure and we were told we could leave at any time during the presentation.
    The property is gorgeous, very convenient to the casinos where we walked to Harvey's and Harrah's for meals. The pool area is very massive and pretty with two jacuzzis. Heavenly Village is right there with shops, restaurants, etc. and in the winter the sidewalks are heated and there is a movie theater and ice skating rink.
    We want to return this winter with our kids and stay in a 2 bedroom villa which we were shown and it was beautiful. Very nice place, we loved our stay here!
