Tahoe City Travelodge

Fodor's Review:

There are a lot of shabby motels around Lake Tahoe (especially in South Lake), but this one is a good, solid choice. Rooms are tidy and well maintained, if predictable in their mauve upholstery and blond-wood laminate furniture. The service is sometimes perfunctory, but all in all, this place offers a square deal, with no surprises and no regrets. Best of all, there's a great second-story lake-view deck with a hot tub. Pros: Central location, good restaurants within walking distance. Cons: Very standard rooms.
