Heavenly Gondola Review

Whether you ski or not, you'll appreciate the impressive view of Lake Tahoe from the Heavenly Gondola. Its eight-passenger cars travel from the middle of town 2.4 miles up the mountain in 15 minutes. When the weather's fine, you can take one of three hikes around the mountaintop and then have lunch at Tamarack Lodge. Heavenly also offers day care for children.

    Disappointing and Expensive

The Gondola is ok but its $30 per adult. Heavenly is not smoking friendly at all. Theres nowhere to smoke unless you sneak one like a teenager.
The food at the summit was terrible and expensive. Plastic-ware, plastic cups and paper plates. The tri-tip wasnt as good as arbys and was $14 per sandwich.

I'm going to LA for a few days and I thought of staying near the LAX considering the prices are very good for very good hotels like marriott, sheraton, etc... Is it a good or a bad idea to stay around there? Read more
