Park Essentials
Park Fees and Permits
Park admission is $30 per car; $15 per person on foot, bicycle, or horse; and $25 per person by motorcycle. The Joshua Tree Pass, good for one year, is $55.
Park Hours
The park is open every day, around the clock, but visitor centers are staffed from approximately 8 am to 5 pm. The park is in the Pacific time one.
Cell Phone Reception
Cell phones don't work in most areas of the park, and there are no telephones in its interior.
Emergencies
Emergency assistance within Joshua Tree is limited. Emergency-only phones are at Intersection Rock at the entrance to Hidden Valley Campground, Cottonwood Visitor Center, and Indian Cove Campground; call San Bernardino Dispatch at 909/383–5651, or dial 911.
