Death Valley National Park covers 5,310 square miles, ranges from 6 to 60 miles wide, and measures 140 miles north to south. Within the park, the Panamint Range parallels Death Valley to the west, the Amargosa Range to the east. Nearly the entire park lies in southeastern California, with a small eastern portion crossing over into Nevada.
