Maps and Info
The Death Valley Natural History Association sells a variety of books on the area and publishes a pamphlet outlining a self-guided tour of Golden Canyon, which costs 50¢ and is available from the association or the bookstore at the visitor center. The association also sells a waterproof, tear-proof topographical map of the entire park for $10. Additional topo maps covering select areas are $4.75 each and available at the visitor center or from the Death Valley Natural History Association (760/786-2146 or 800/478-8564 www.dvnha.org).
