Fodor's Review

The exhibits and artifacts here provide a broad overview of how Death Valley formed; you can pick up maps at the bookstore run by the Death Valley Natural History Association. This is also the place to learn about or sign up for ranger-led walks (available November through April) or check out a live presentation about the valley's cultural and natural history. The helpful center offers a 20-minute movie about the park every 30 minutes. Your children are likely to receive plenty of individual attention from the enthusiastic rangers.
