Golden Canyon Review

Just South of Furnace Creek, these glimmering mountains are perhaps best known for their role in the original Star Wars. The canyon is also a fine hiking spot, with gorgeous views of the Panamint Mountains, ancient dry lake beds, and alluvial fans. If you fork out a quarter for the small trail guide, be forewarned that several of the numbered signs it refers to are missing.

    a hike for people who don't hike

    I loved golden canyon. My husband who hates hiking loved it too. It is definately good for all levels. The views are spectacular especially if you do hike up some of the "trails." There are no real trails just places walked on a bit.
