Casa Del Desierto Harvey House

Fodor's Review:

A Spanish-named spot meaning "house of the desert," the Casa Del Desierto Harvey House was one of many hotel and restaurant depots opened by Santa Fe railroad guru Fred Harvey in the early 20th century. The location where Judy Garland's film The Harvey Girls was shot, the building is now completely restored. Inside the Casa Del Desierto is the Route 66 Mother Road Museum and Gift Shop.
