Known for its Disney-esque Italian villa, which has as many critics as it does fervent fans for its huge size and general over-the-topness, Ferrari-Carano Winery produces mostly chardonnays, fumé blancs, syrahs, and cabernet sauvignons. Though whites have traditionally been the specialty here, the reds are now garnering more attention. Tours cover not only the wine-making facilities and underground cellar but also the manicured gardens, where you can see a cork tree and learn about how cork is harvested.

My wife and I went there to see the gardens and fell in love with the wine. They have a new tasting bar in the cellar that pours wines that are not distributed to stores. We had a great time with our pourer. His name is Veone or something like that. Don't worry about the spelling, it is a made up name. Go there early because it does get crowded, but any time is worth it!!!!
