California Wine Country Sights

Frog's Leap

Frog's Leap Review

The owner, John Williams, maintains a goofy sense of humor about wine that translates into an entertaining yet informative experience, making Frog's Leap the perfect places for wine novices to begin their education. You'll also find some fine zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, rosé, and also their take on the German dessert wine Trockenbeerenauslese. The winery includes a red barn built in 1884, 5 acres of organic gardens, an ecofriendly visitor center, and, naturally, a frog pond topped with lily pads. The fun tour is highly recommended, but you can also just do a seated tasting of their wines, which takes place on a porch overlooking the garden.
