Ledson Winery & Vineyards

Fodor's Review:

The outrageously ornate French Normandy castle visible from Route 12 might attract you even before you know that the Ledson Winery & Vineyards produces exceptional pinot noirs, merlots, zinfandels, and cabernet francs, as well as a small selection of whites, all available only at the winery and a small number of restaurants. The castle, intended as the Ledson family's opulent home when its construction began in 1989, is now a warren of tasting rooms, special event spaces, and a small food market for picnic supplies.

  • Cost: Tasting $5, no tour
  • Open: Daily 10-5
