Fodor's Review:

The fieldstone walls and friendly service would set a homey mood here even if the menu didn't present comfort food's greatest hits, from fried chicken with mashed potatoes to the signature macaroni and cheese. A top-notch team, with experience working at some of San Francisco's finest restaurants, has made this an exceedingly popular spot.

We've eaten lunch here 3 times -- we really, really like it. Oysters in season are terrific and their prix fix lunch is generally a good value.

We had a fantastic dinner here! Very warm comfortable atmosphere which accomodates both the casul and more well dressed. Service was very friendly and consistent. Great food, expertly prepared without the pretense and aires of some napa valley restaurants. Strong wine list and the Chocolate Hazelnut Brownie was the perfect finish. We will be back.
