The Old Faithful Geyser of California blasts its 20- to 70-foot tower of steam and vapor about every 30 minutes. One of just three regularly erupting geysers in the world, it's fed by an underground river that's heated by molten magma deep beneath the earth's surface. If you've seen Yellowstone's Old Faithful or a similar geyser, you're not going to be wowed by the modest eruption here, but a small exhibit hall explaining geothermal processes, a small petting zoo, and picnic facilities make it the rare family-friendly stop in the Wine Country.
