The Fig Cafe

The Fig Cafe Review

Pale sage walls, a high, sloping ceiling, and casual but very warm service set a sunny mood in this little bistro that's run by the same team behind Sonoma's The Girl & the Fig. The restaurant's eponymous fruit shows up in all sorts of places, from salads to the wintertime apple-and-fig bread pudding. The small menu focuses on California and French comfort food, like steamed mussels served with terrific crispy fries, and a roast quail served with faro and olives. Don't forget to look on the chalkboard for frequently changing desserts, such as butterscotch pots de crème. The unusual no-corkage-fee policy makes it a great place to drink the wine you just discovered down the road.

Not my favorite-most items tasted like they were bought, not house made...
