Milliken Creek Inn Review

Wine and cheese at sunset set a romantic mood in the intimate lobby, with its terrace overlooking the Napa River and a lush lawn, while chic rooms take a page from the stylebook of British-colonial Asia, with a khaki-and-cream color scheme and gauzy canopies over the beds in some rooms, alongside hydrotherapy spa tubs and some of the fluffiest beds in the Wine Country. All but one have a gas-burning fireplace. A tiny deck overlooking the river is the spot for massages and private yoga classes. In the serene spa, all the treatment rooms, including one used for popular couple's treatments, have river views.

The attentive service we received at the Milliken Creek contributed to our very special winter Napa Valley 3 night getaway. The staff at hotel was dedicated to helping us make the most of our Napa experience. Complimentary amenities included wine & cheese tastings at the hotel hosted by exceptional local wineries and a delicious breakfast brought to our room.

If you enjoy a comfortable and relaxing experience in a serene setting at a small tasteful, first class but not pretentious boutique hotel, this is the place for you.

We booked for our honeymoon, but were extremely disappointed in the location. Instead of offering even a shred of understanding, the untrained, impolite, and unbelievably unresponsive staff (and I mean all of the individuals we dealt with) put on a fake smile and just nodded their heads when they told us they'd be charging us for our entire stay whether we stayed there or not.

The falsely advertise and they know nothing about customer service. They quite possibly poached their "staff" from a neighborhood Applebee's. They don't return phone calls, they don't respond with any human emotion whatsoever.

They robbed us of plenty of honeymoon time, caused a fair amount of grief, and stole money from me. Yes, I said stole. There's nothing legal about their "policy."

    They are common thieves.

You don't have to take it from me, but if you're planning on staying in or around Napa, check out Meadowood before you waste your time with this group.

Meadowood knows how to treat guests and knows how to make any vacation a special one--Honeymoon or not.

If want luxury and privacy this is the place. Although it is located along a busy road. Once you pass throught the doors you are transported into another world. You are greeted with wash cloths, wine, and personal service. In the evening, your room becomes adorned with soft jazz and candles. We will definitedly go back and I highly recommend it despite the high price.
