St. Supéry

Fodor's Review:

Though you might be tempted to enter the beautifully restored 1882 farmhouse at St. Supéry to look for the tasting room, in fact the wines are being poured in the building behind it, a bland, unappealing, officelike structure. You'll likely forgive the atmospheric lapse once you taste their fine sauvignon blancs, merlots, chardonnays, and cabernet sauvignons. An excellent, free self-guided tour also allows you a peek at the barrel and fermentation rooms, as well as a gallery of rotating art exhibits. At the "sniffing station," you can test your ability to identify different smells that might be present in wine.

  • Cost: Tasting $10-$15, tour free-$10
  • Open: Daily 10-5; tour at 1 and 3
