Fodor's Review:

A nouvelle Italian bistro in the lovely St. Philip's Plaza, Vivace has long been a favorite with Tucsonans. Wild mushrooms and goat cheese in puff pastry is hard to resist as a starter. For a lighter alternative to such entrées as a rich osso buco, try the fettuccine with grilled salmon. For dessert, the molten chocolate cake with spumoni is worth the 20 minutes it takes to create. Patio seating is especially inviting on warm evenings.

Ordered a veal plate off the menu-no problme. Wine list very good. Food was excellent. Decor very nice. Wait staff excellent also. It is a hard achoice between this and North as far as the best.
I will return and or suggest this to others......

I can't say enough about the food here. The oso buco was out of this world. Our server was there when we wanted him and never hovering over us. It was also nice that the owner came by to hello. I can see why Tucson just can't get enough.

When Vivace was in a strip mall at Grant and Swan the service was much better than it is now that it's relocated to the stuffy St. Phillips Plaza.
As for the food, it'stough to beat their unusual and imaginative specials.
