Tucson Marriott University Park

$$$, University

User Rating: **** 4.0

Fodor's Review:

With the University of Arizona less than a block from the front door, the Marriott is an ideal place to stay when visiting the campus. This clean, contemporary hotel has a lush atrium lobby area that can be enjoyed from the restaurant and bar, and the university shopping district's cafés, pubs, and stores are all within a short stroll.

Be prepared to pay extra for everything!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a week as part of a scientific conference. By the second day we were convinced that we would be charged for flushing the toilet. Internet is $9.95 a day and wired only! They put water bottles in your room that you pay $4.00 for drinking. When you check in they actually put a hold on your credit card for 20% more than your expected bill. Worst of all there is no complimentary breakfast offered. I recommend you stay at a Sleep Inn, save $50 a day, get free wireless internet, a microwave, and a fridge.
