Vying with the Hilton El Conquistador and Loews Ventana for convention business, this sprawling resort offers views of the Santa Catalina Mountains above and the city below. It specializes in relaxation with an emphasis on fun: the golf, tennis, and spa facilities are top notch, and the huge pool complex has an impressively long water slide, as well as a swim-up bar and grill for those who can't bear to leave the water. On-site kids' programs, including weekly "dive-in movies," make for a vacation the whole family can enjoy. Janos, one of Tucson's top restaurants, is also here.
