I would say that Acacia is an upscale restaurant with variety, who knew? There is something for everyone on the menu, which is nice because we all have different tastes. Many other upscale restaurants have excellent food but they do not have as much variety. Acacia did a great job of infusing different various worldly flavors with simple elegance. I am fairly new to the city and have lived several places prior to moving to Tucson and this restaurant is unforgettable and will become one of my favorite dinning spots. Acacia is located in St. Phillips plaza off Campbell Avenue in Tucson, which is very pretty with boutiques and other nice restaurants surrounding it. Acacia was modern and hip yet at the same time classy and elegant but not stuffy. I found the atmosphere to be very warm and inviting. We got to sit on the patio, which was beautifully lit and there was live music, which they have every Friday and Saturday nights. I think the music gave it an upbeat and pleasant feel as you dine and you are also welcome to dance.

We got to sample the summer menu, which I would describe as fresh, natural and refreshing. A few of my personal favorites were the seafood dishes since I love fish. They have fish brought in fresh 6 days a week. The halibut and swordfish were moist and tender and very flavorful with a real pure taste, which let the natural flavor of the fish shine without being overpowered with spices and other unnecessary ingredients. The swordfish was excellent and served with avocado butter and orzo salad with pickled ginger and cucumber. The ginger and orzo salad really complimented the fish. I also really enjoyed the Chinese barbecue glaze chicken skewers, which were tender and juicy. I liked everything that I had including the duck spring rolls, lamb t-bones and the hummus and fresh made pita bread. The dessert was also delicious! I would highly recommend this place. My husband and I are planning our next date night there and look forward to going there with my lady friends.
