Three companies in Tucson offer hot-air-balloon flights from September through May, flown by FAA-certified pilots.
Passengers toast with champagne on tours by Balloon America (Box 31255, Tucson, 85751. 520/299-7744. www.balloonrideusa.com). Tours depart from the east side of Tucson. Fleur de Tucson Balloon Tours (4635 N. Caida Pl., Tucson, 85718. 520/529-1025. www.fleurdetucson.net) has two flight options: over the Tucson Mountains and Sagauro National Park West, or over the Avra Valley.
