Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum

Fodor's Review:

Arizona's phenomenal wealth and progress has had a lot to do with what lies beneath the actual land, namely the copper, gold, silver, and other earthbound deposits. This museum offers a mother lode of information and features more than 3,000 rocks, minerals, fossils, and mining equipment, including a 43-foot-tall Boras mine head frame and an 1882 baby-gauge steam train locomotive.

  • Cost: $2
  • Open: Weekdays 8-5, Sat. 11-4
