Trails, Apache Trail
Fodor's Review:
The 4-mi round-trip Peralta Trail winds 1,400 feet up a small valley for a spectacular view of Weaver's Needle, a monolithic rock formation that is one of Arizona's more famous sights. Allow a few hours for this rugged and challenging hike, bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat, and a snack or lunch, and don't hike it in the middle of the day in summer.
