Scottsdale Center for the Arts

Fodor's Review:

Galleries within this cultural and entertainment complex rotate exhibits frequently, but they typically emphasize contemporary art and artists. You might be able to catch a comical, interactive performance of the long-running "Late Night Catechism," or an installation of modern dance. The acclaimed Scottsdale Arts Festival is held annually in March. The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art is on-site, and there's also a good Museum Store for unusual jewelry and stationery, posters, and art books.

  • Cost: Free
  • Open: Mon.-Wed., Fri., and Sat. 10-5, Thurs. 10-8, Sun. noon-5; also during performance intermissions
