Fodor's Review

Once the home of Cunard Steamship executive Delos T. Cooke, this Mediterranean-style resort has a stately row of the namesake palms at its entrance, courtyards with fountains, and individually designed rooms. Deluxe suites, casitas, and villas are all different, though they follow one of three elegant styles: trompe-l'oeil, romantic retreat, or Spanish colonial. The restaurant, T. Cook's, is renowned, and the open-air Alvadora Spa seems like it has every imaginable amenity,

including an outdoor rain shower.

One of the Best Boutique Hotels operated by Destination

Outstanding Location and decor. Bar is intimate and drinks are excellent. A special place to visit in Scottsdale. Five Star in all respects, wanting to return very soon and bring others to this romantic place.

I will not come back.

We spent 7 days at the resort. Stayed at the Plaza room. Not bad, but not what I expected for the price of $350 per night. Also, they charge additional $24 for tips a day. The tiles in the bathroom were dirty. The bathroom itself not that good for this kind of price. The bed was good, pillows were also good.Location is good. I've been to really expensive and luxury hotels. This one does not belong to that category. Overall I would not stay in this

hotel again because it is definately overpriced.

The Benchmark for Romantic Charm & Luxury

COngratulations: YOU HAVE ARRIVED! It does not get any better than this. Gorgeous rooms, each with a distinct personality (each decorated by a different designer) Fabulous pool area, wonderful spa, Delicious food, and a "Director of Romance" who can cater to your every wish and romantic desire. I have traveled near and far to try and find a place away from home that can equal this superb property (for the money). If anyone knows one, please email

me!!! In the summer it is a down right bargain, in the winter it is worth every penny. The Royal Palms truly is the benchmark for hotel living.
