Fodor's Review

In a town where restaurants can come and go almost overnight, Tomaso's has been a favorite since 1977, and for good reason. Chef Tomaso Maggiore learned to cook at the family's restaurant in Palermo, Sicily, and honed his skills at the Culinary Institute of Rome. The result is authentic Italian cuisine that's consistently well prepared and delicious. The house specialty, herb crusted rack of lamb, is outstanding. Other notables include risotto and osso buco. Enjoy lunch

next door at Tommy V's.

I can't hear myself eat!

Decorated well, it's no wonder this resturant is so highly regarded as one of the best Italian resturants in Phoenix. The Northern Italian and Southern Italian plates are good alternatives for diners of whom have no idea what to order. Food is packed with flavor and can leave one's mouth jumping for Joy. Choice of wines complement the food very well, and the service leaves you wondering if you were eatting at a resturant or a friends house.

THe only problem with being such a popular resturant is that such resturants are always full! Even not at full capacity, I had a hard time hearing myself. Such noise took away from the dining experience.
