By Bus in Northeast Arizona

In the unlikely event you end up in this part of the world without a car, bus travel is an option, albeit a not particularly practical one. The Navajo Transit System has extensive, fixed routes throughout the Navajo Reservation. The buses are modern, in good condition, and generally on time, but they do not make frequent runs, and when they do run they can be slow. Fares range from 50¢ for local rides to a high of $13.05 (Window Rock to Tuba City). This can be an up-close-and-personal way to travel through the Navajo Nation and meet the people who live here as they go about their daily business.
