The South Rim is open 24/7, year-round. The North Rim is open mid-May through mid-October, depending on the weather. Highway 67 from Jacob Lake is closed due to snowfall from around mid-October to mid-May, and during these times all facilities at the North Rim are closed. The entrance gates are open 24 hours, but are generally staffed from about 7 AM to 7 PM. If you arrive when there's no one at the gate, you may enter legally without paying. The park is in the Mountain time zone.
