Pancho McGullicuddy's Southwestern Bar & Grill

Pancho McGullicuddy's Southwestern Bar & Grill Review

Established in 1893 as the Cabinet Saloon, this restaurant is on the National Register of Historic Places. Gone are the spittoons and pipes—the colorful dining area now has Mexican-inspired decor and serves such specialties as "armadillo eggs" (deep-fried jalapeños stuffed with cheese). Other favorites include fish tacos, buzzard wings—better known as hot wings—and pollo verde (chicken breasts smothered in a sauce of cheese, sour cream, and green chiles). The bar has TVs tuned to sporting events and pours more than 30 tequilas, and there's live old-school rock and country many evenings.
