Fodor's Review

Antiques and floral prints impart a genteel, Victorian quality to this lodge, while log cabins are more rustic. Some cabins have full kitchens and fireplaces; others are equipped with microwaves, stovetops, and wood-burning stoves. The lodge dining room has hewn-log beams and a glass wall that overlooks a pristine meadow. The solitude of the area is enhanced by the absence of phones and TVs in rooms and cabins. The general store sells sundries as well as fishing supplies,

and rents snowshoes, cross-country skis, and mountain bikes. The on-site restaurant serves three meals a day, which is good because there's not much for a half-hour in either direction.
