Sled-Dog Racing
Yukon Quest International Sled-Dog Race. Whitehorse and Fairbanks organize the Yukon Quest International Sled-Dog Race in February. The race's starting line alternates yearly between the two cities. This is one of the longest and toughest races in the north-a thousand miles, and considered by mushers to be much harder than the Iditarod, as the terrain is rougher and the checkpoints fewer.
