Cookie Jar Review
Tucked away in a nondescript neighborhood on a street not found on most Fairbanks maps, this restaurant is worth tracking down. The open space features lots of cookie jars, along with plants and artwork. Spanning breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the huge menu includes scads of homemade items, an extensive kids' menu, and vegetarian selections. Entrées range from steak and shrimp to coq au vin. For dessert, try the homemade pies or cookies to match anything your grandma ever baked. Weekend breakfasts are especially popular, so allow extra time. Take Danby Street off the Johansen Expressway; the restaurant is behind Kendall Motors.
