Thanks to its small size, comfy bedding, and sophisticated style, the Edgewater has the ambience of a boutique hotel. This is the third hotel building since the 1898 gold rush to occupy this quiet corner at the end of Main Street—the first two burned down—and the Yukon River and White Pass Railway views remain solid Yukon gold. Two reasons to stay here are the Cellar Steakhouse and Wine Bar, which is first-rate, and the Edge Bar and Grill, which offers cheaper eats
for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The lobby, renovated in 2014, now has an open feel.
