Chatanika Lodge Review
Rocket scientists from the nearby Poker Flat Research Range gather at this cedar lodge, as do mushers (staff can arrange dogsled rides), snowmachiners, and local families. The eclecticism of the clientele is matched by the diamond willow lamps and a variety of wild-animal trophy heads and skins, including bear, lynx, and wolf. Most of the 30,000 Christmas lights at the lodge stay up year-round. The rooms generally have a double and single bed, sink, and TV. The toilets and showers are down the hall.
