Getting Here and Around in Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge
Getting Here and Around
There are no roads to or in the refuge. The best way to enter the area is to take a commercial flight to Bethel and then fly into the refuge by air taxi. If you only want to see the smallest edge of the refuge, or are a very strong hiker, it is also possible to walk in by driving 2 miles down Chief Eddie Hoffman State Highway, the only paved road in town, to the Refuge Office and Visitor Center at the end of the road.
