This inn is the little sister of the Grand Aleutian Hotel, built for travelers on a budget and also to house the island's many fishermen and cannery workers. The building is adjacent to quite a few processing plants with generators running constantly; bring earplugs if you're noise sensitive. The view, however, is nice: the inn is located right on the water and some of the dormitory-style rooms even overlook the small-boat harbor. Furnishings are sparse but clean. But, the tasty pizza, burgers, and sandwiches served just downstairs at the Harbor View Bar and Grill are a convenient perk. Local bands also play Top 40 or country music live on the weekends.
