Grand Aleutian Hotel

  • Very clean
  • Helpful and enthusiastic staff
  • Bay-view rooms

  • Aside from the uniquely incredible views, the interior is a bit generic

Fodor's Review

The airy three-story atrium lobby with a large stone fireplace conjures images of a Swiss chalet, while each carpeted, brightly lighted room is decorated with Alaska artwork and has a wonderful view overlooking the water. Rooms come with either one or two king-size beds and have full bathrooms and in-room coffeemakers. There are several on-site dining options, including the upscale Chart Room Restaurant on the second floor, which features Pacific Rim cuisine and serves an elaborate Sunday brunch year-round, and the Cape Cheerful Lounge. For more informal dining and breakfast with a mountain view during the week, there's Margaret Bay Café.
