Grand Aleutian Hotel Review
An airy three-story atrium lobby with a large stone fireplace conjures images of a Swiss chalet. Rooms have views of either Margaret Bay or Unalaska Bay. Each lushly carpeted, brightly lighted room is decorated with Alaskan artwork and is equipped with full bath, hair dryer, extra vanity and sink, and in-room coffeemaker. The Chart Room Restaurant and Lounge specializes in Pacific Rim cuisine with locally caught seafood, and features a seafood buffet every Wednesday night and an elaborate Sunday brunch year-round. Barbecues are scheduled on Friday nights in summer on the deck overlooking Margaret Bay. For more informal dining, there's Margaret Bay Café. Guided activities include bird-watching, cultural tours, archaeological digs, marine wildlife tours, photography, and fishing.
