Fodor's Review

A favorite with hard-to-please locals, Captain Pattie's offers a wide array of fresh local seafood, along with beachfront views of Kachemak Bay. The appetizer menu alone is worth the wait, which can be considerable during the summer rush. The clam chowder is excellent, and the staff is friendly and efficient. There's a good wine selection, and local beer on tap. If you get lucky on your fishing excursion, the restaurant will cook your catch to your liking. Try the great

desserts, too.
