Cordova Museum Review

Exhibits at the Cordova Museum tell of early explorers to the area, Native culture, the Copper River and Northwestern Railway/Kennicott Mine era, and the growth of the commercial fishing industry. An informative brochure outlines a self-guided walking tour of the town's historic buildings. Evening programs and regional art exhibits such as "Fish Follies" and "Bird Flew" are sponsored by the historical society. The gift shop features a selection of local postcards, Cordova and Alaskan gifts, and local history books.

    Cordova Museum Review

    My husband and our friends spent hours in the small museum. When we arrived the museum was closed because the employee was ill, but we approached the librarian next door and she graciously opened up the museum for us and left us to look. The history contained in this small space is amazing and the helpfulness we experienced was wonderful.
