Getting Here and Around

The Chugach forms the backdrop of Anchorage, and trailheads are accessible at the top of O'Malley, Huffman, and DeArmoun roads, south of Anchorage at Potter Valley, McHugh Creek, and Bird Ridge on the Seward Highway, and to the north of town at Arctic Valley Road (6 mi out) and Eagle River Road (13 mi out).
