The Farm Lodge

Port Alsworth, Alaska, USA

Near park headquarters in Port Alsworth, the farm was built as a homestead back in the 1940s and has been a lodge since 1977. Five modern duplexes house as many as 40 guests in private rooms that have either bunk or double beds. A large, manicured, and fenced lawn with flower and vegetable gardens surrounds the main lodge, where home-cooked meals including fresh vegetables, salmon, and domestic meats are included—the staff recites a prayer before guests begin eating. The lodge also provides flight services, guided trips, and an array of multinight adventure packages. Port Alsworth is a dry town, and no alcohol is available at the lodge, though guests can bring their own to enjoy in their rooms.
