Musk Ox Farm

Fodor's Review:

Fifty-some animals roam at the Musk Ox Farm, which conducts 30-minute guided tours from May to September. There's a hands-on museum and a gift shop featuring hand-knitted items made from the cashmere-like underfur (qiviut) combed from the musk ox. The scarves and caps and more are made by Oomingmak, an Alaskan native collective.

  • Cost: $8
  • Open: May-Sept., daily 10-6; Oct.-Apr., by appointment
