Alaskan Hotel Review

This historic 1913 hotel in the heart of downtown Juneau sits over the popular bar of the same name; be prepared for noise Thursday through Saturday nights when bands are playing. Ask staff for a less noisy room on the northeast side. The older but well-maintained Queen Anne-style guest rooms ramble across three floors and include pedestal sinks, old-fashioned radiators, bay windows, and a smattering of antiques. The flocked wallpaper, red floral carpets, and Tiffany windows are reminiscent of the hotel's original gold rush-era opulence. The least expensive rooms share a bath down the hall.
