This historic 1913 hotel in the heart of downtown Juneau sits over the popular bar of the same name; be prepared for noise Thursday through Saturday nights when bands are playing. The older but well-maintained guest rooms ramble across three floors and include pedestal sinks, old-fashioned radiators, and a smattering of antiques. The flocked wallpaper, red floral carpets, and Tiffany windows are reminiscent of the hotel's original gold rush-era opulence. The least-expensive rooms share a bath down the hall.
